Twenty Minutes of Fame
As a writers with other responsibilities like a day job and/or a family, it can be really hard to find blocks of time to write. For me, it was even a challenge to find time to write this blog post since I'm in the midst of some heavy lifting at the day job with my pending software release. The Beauty of Longhand
One of the things to try when you're in a writing rut is to change your routine or process. Always be open to try new things. Most of my days are spent in front of the computer working on geeky software stuff. I type really well and fast---I even tried typing with my eyes closed. Transformation of a Night Owl
With writing routines, you sort of have to try on different things and see how they work. I know that I'm a night owl. If I don't get to sleep by at least 11 pm it can be quite easy for me to get a second wind and stay up until the early morning hours. I've always accepted this and my writing has benefited from it as well. But as a logical person, I'm looking for ways to get my writing routine as consistent as possible.
