First Person Present Tense

For my first three "drawer" novels, I wrote in 3rd person point of view (POV), but I then for the last two projects, I've written in 1st person POV. However, it was always in past tense. For this current project, I've played with using present tense with past revisions. My story has a lot of suspense and a few major action scenes so I'm thinking it may be more effective written in the present tense. Revision Update: Cutting Characters

I'm on Day 5 of my 25 scenes in 25 days. But I've also cut a scene. So much for my catchy phrase. I'm thinking it will be replaced but not sure. It may have to wait until the next revision round. I also cut a character. Alexis was a character in my draft who was supposed to help Grace, my protagonist, but she was only in one scene in Act 1 and didn't really do anything else---didn't even make another appearance until Act 3.
