Okay so I've recovered from the Thanksgiving holiday and now gearing up for the end of the year. With the winding down, I always reflect on my goals and the progress that I made. Bright and Shiny
I've been tempted by a new idea. When this new idea approached me, I didn't tell it about the current relationship with my WIP. Yeah, we've had some good times --- and not so good times. But I know my WIP's quirks and definitely have accepted all the flaws. We're going through a rough patch right now, but I think we can work it out. Revision: Writing Warrior Style (Updated)
I'm still deep in revisions and rewriting scenes for the middle of my novel. It's been slow going with the demand of life and the day job --- but I'm taking my writer friend's advice and celebrating my minute milestones. Flawed Characters
So for this revision round, I have sixteen scenes left --- where everything starts to converge together and pushing toward the end --- which in the draft form is still cloudy (but that's for another post). One thing I've been noticing with my characters --- the antagonist Kendra is just really all shades of bad, which is boring and one-dimensional.
