In the SLJ Teen newsletter, I found out that the The William C. Morris YA Debut Award finalists have been announced. According the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) website: "The William C. Morris YA Debut Award, first awarded in 2009, honors a debut book published by a first-time author writing for teens and celebrating impressive new voices in young adult literature." What Kirkus Leaves Behind

If you've been following the latest publishing news, you know that Kirkus Reviews is closing its doors. This is yet another result of the economy more or less. I've always known Kirkus to review all types of books from both small and big publishing houses. I also remember how some of my writer friends had a love/hate relationship with the publication. A Saturday Post

I usually don't blog on the weekends, but here I am at the fabulous Main Library up the street from my house. I'm working on creating a spreadsheet to help me with my revision process (I'll share that in an upcoming post).
