So last night I noticed that my neighborhood's Halloween decorations are even creepier if that's even possible. Last year, I heard that some parents wouldn't even let their kids come trick-or-treating in our neighborhood because it looked too scary. Poor kids. I'm sure some of them loved it though. 2011 Fall Reading List

This year I haven't read as many books as usual due to time constraints, but I still try to get as much reading in as I can. The following is what I have on my To-Be-Read (TBR) list for the Fall. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. I've been a fan of this writer since I read Lip Touch: Three Times, so I'm really looking forward to reading this book. What Teen Readers Don’t Like

I know as writers we tend to fret about the current trends and what should be the focus of a story idea. But then sometimes I think we forget about the reader and what they want or better yet what they don't like. Unplanned Novels

One of the books that is on my TBR list this summer is Blood Red Road by Moira Young. It's a novel set in the future after the land has been ravaged and now mostly a wasteland of dust. The main character Saba is forced to go forth into the unknown world and search for her twin brother who was kidnapped.
