My name is Karen and I LOVE books and the writing craft.
One of my biggest passions is literature—especially for young people. I love books that portray diverse experiences and cultures.
Most of my time is spent working at the day job as a software geek. I spend my early mornings, late nights, and most weekends being a Novelista. Every day, I try to find the balance between the dream of my novel and the reality of my mortgage.
I primarily write young-adult (YA) novels, and I’ve had the pleasure of attending several conferences and retreats such as the Highlights Whole Novel Workshop and the Rutgers One-on-One Plus Conference, both which I highly recommend. I’m also involved in several writing organizations and online communities.
I hope that you visit my blog again in the future. My post schedule is Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and sometimes other days as well.
You can also check out 100 Things About the Novelista if you like reading lists and learning quirky facts.
Feel free to leave a comment or send me a message. I love meeting other kindred spirits.
I post about the writing craft and how I balance novel writing with a day job. Other topics include books, authors, publishing news, and diversity discussions related to literature for kids and teens.
