I’m a true Southern girl and every time that it snows, I get all giddy inside. This is before the snow freezes and causes all kinds of havoc and chaos.
I know that people who are used to snow probably don’t get why people down here freak out when the snow “storms” occur but considering we have like 3 salt trucks—it really does make a cause for ringing the alarm.
I took some pictures to show you how pretty the snow was in my neighborhood. Who knows what the next few days will bring, but for now, I will enjoy the beauty of a Winter Wonderland.

I post about the craft and how I balance writing with a day job. Other topics include books, authors, conferences, and diversity related to literature for kids and teens.

Beautiful pictures. Everything looks so quiet and serene. I loved snow days growing up. Down here all we got was rain and would have loved a snowfall. (I’m not complaining–we’ve had two years of drought–so we needed –but …)

Great pictures! I love how things look just after a snowstorm. It never gets old. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Snow is awesome when you aren’t stuck at home with bored, crabby kids. Down with snow days!!! Great pics.

Thanks everyone!
I’m glad I took these pics yesterday because everything is melting and the neighborhood kids have wrecked havoc on the serene setting. Ha.
Looks like it should be harmless since the sun is melting the slush so Valentine’s Day plans can still proceed as planned.

Those are beautiful pics. I’ve read many complaints about this recent weather, but if I didn’t have a day job or errands to worry about, I’d love to be indoors reading and writing and looking at this view.
