At times I have a habit as looking at my day job as a curse because it limits my writing time. But really it can be a blessing. Beside getting a regular check and being able to pay my mortgage, there are also other perks of my day job: having great co-workers.

Yesterday, I got a flat tire from a huge nail in the parking deck. Let’s just say that I know I have a spare in my trunk but that’s about it.

But my co-workers came through. Not only did they change my tire, they showed me what they were doing just in case I needed to do it on my own (yeah, right. LOL). Plus they made sure I test drove my car around the parking deck to make sure it was safe. So it was my pleasure afterward to treat these good guys to a great lunch.

So thanks Ralph and Eric! Not only can they write the best software code ever, but they can also change a pretty good tire.

Not bad for techie geeks.
