I’ve still been following the Simon & Schuster’s Blogfest 2009, and today’s question is “Have You Ever Just Wanted to Give Up?”
Love the answers. Here’s a few the resonated with me:
“I think the difference between being a writer and not being a writer isn’t whether or not you get paid, it is not giving up.” – Ed Decter
“Besides, I love the process of writing, of telling a story. So even if I wanted to quit, I’m not sure I’d be able to.” – Lisa Schroeder
“Give up writing? No way, dude! If I didn’t write, I’d shrivel up like a dead bug and blow away with the next strong wind.” – Adrienne Maria Vrettos
“But someone once made the observation that courage is not the absence of fear, but the willingness to act in spite of it.” -James A. Owen
You can check it out for yourself. There is still one more week left to go and it’s been great for me to hear the perspectives from so many YA writers.

Thanks for the post. I’ve convinced myself that I need two things to succeed: A willingness to learn and perseverance. It seems as if many writers’ hopes depend on early success. Good for us then! ;-)
Johnathan: With those two things you’ll never go wrong. Best of luck to you in writing journey and I hope you meet your goals.
